Cooking this traditional Brazilian dish is easier than you think! Follow our simple recipe to enjoy costelas de boi com cebola at home.

Ingredients:

  • Costelas de boi (beef ribs)
  • Cebolas (onions)
  • Sal (salt)
  • Pimenta-do-reino (pepper)
  • Azeite ou óleo para fritar

Instructions:

Fry the ccebulas in a little oil until they soften and take on color. Add the ribs, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and fry them together for a couple of minutes.

  1. Add water to cover the ribs, bring to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer gently for about 45 minutes or until the meat is tender.
  2. Once done, remove from the heat. Let sit for at least 10-15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.

Serve this delicious dish of costelas de boi com cebola with some rice and farofa (cornmeal) for a complete meal!
